Colourful, Carnivelesque Devon Festival Wedding
Louis and Dawn’s wedding was a super colourful occasion! Brilliant, vibrant and, BONKERS!
We met at the registry in Exeter where Louis and Dawn proceeded with the more formal aspects of the day.
After the registry, a grand entrance at the festival-esque farm set up and a day full of joyous shenanigans and sunshine.
I think what was so special about their day, was that they were so clear from the off, that the day was about a celebration for one another first and foremost. It was both grand in scale, yet close and intimate – you have to make your wedding day celebration your own, and Louis and Dawn did that with bells on! (pretty much literally!). Their ‘chosen family’ were all there to be a part of it, many of whom got up to contribute during the ceremony, making readings and telling tales of their connections… there were many tears, it was emotional; the best kind of tears.
Punctuated with hula-hooping, rope swings, barbeques, fire walks and live music, and topped off by a beautifully orchestrated (surprise) burlesque performance by Louis and two other troopers it was a day full to the brim of with exuberance… eventually the camp fire embers faded, after impromptu songs were sung, and everyone retired with a glow in their hearts…
Big hugs to all. Andy x.
