East Soar Farm Wedding

Steph and Harry’s East Soar Farm summer wedding … a day that had everything!! FULL to the brim with loveliness and full on party shenanigans - such a warm and lovely couple and such a beautiful and vibrant wedding crew - it was truly a fun-filled day!! We’d had a wonderful warm up session at our pre-wedding shoot in Mothercombe; which was a fab way to get to know one another and help them ease into being around the camera.

East Soar Farm is a wonderful rustic wedding venue in the South Hams, Devon. It has a beautiful, intimate, wedding barn for the ceremony and a spacious, bigger barn for the wedding breakfast and partying. They are a lovely team there too! Thanks to Marijke and Schaulk, et al.. (More vendor mentions below). The day started quite serenely and ended up with revellers in a heap on the dancefloor! Just how it should be!! Andy is THE friendliest guy, we wanted him to stay on and have a drink as a wedding guest! From minute 1 of our pre-wedding shoot he managed to put two awkward photo-phobes completely at ease. We all had a lot of fun scrambling up rocks and walls at the beach to get to the right spot! He’s super organised, I didn’t doubt for a moment that we could trust him. He thinks on his feet and is highly adaptable. He doesn’t faff around, the group pic took barely any time at all to orchestrate! He managed a perfect mix of being ’invisible’ but being present. Communication about everything, from logistics of the day down to the best type of paper to print photos on, was clear and timely. He really listened to us. Unlike some of our other wedding vendors, we felt he really valued our custom and he treated us with kindness and respect. We picked him because we loved his creative and editing style and he just captured our day perfectly. Merci beaucoup!’ (très reconnaissant!! Ax).

Special mention to the catering Elaine and team at http://www.entertainingfood.com (I love it when they ask when I’d like to eat and if there’s anything I need. It sounds like small detail, but it’s always a very busy day shooting a wedding and things like that mean a lot! Thank you!). Another BIG shout out to ‘I Love Amp’, https://www.iloveamp.co.uk one of the best wedding bands I’ve had the pleasure to meet! Amazing!! (lovley to meet you Tim, and the resf of the band! Nailed it!!).
