Wowzers! What a dream! As weddings go; Lula and Dougal’s festival’esque wedding at Ash Barton Estate really knocked it out of the park!! The vibe was FUNFILLED and super colourFULL!
Ash Barton Estate is nestled in the beautiful North Devon Countryside, four miles from Saunton Sands. It’s such a chilled venue and it has all the amenities you’ll ever need for a spectacular Devon wedding party! Including; a swimming pool, glamping tents, residential accommodation for 35+ guests and a to die for ‘Saturday Night Fever’ type dancefloor, a games barn and much much more… Katie from ‘Best Day Ever’ was on hand for helping with the planning too - great to see you again Katie! Needless to say, everything went super smoothly…
The bridal party got ready in one of the spacious rooms at the estate, which was lush, with lots of lovely natural light, and lots of giggles with the girls. The boys got ready downstairs – such a jazzy bunch! And sophisticated too … ‘whisky sour’ cocktails I tell ya!
The ceremony was held in a sunbathed field where Matt Racher conducted an emotional, warm and often hilarious ceremony … Matt you were a natural; if you’re looking for a new job, I think this one might be calling you! Not a dry eye in the house… Then, a gorgeous confetti and bubble avenue to exit and onto shots off a single ski to get the afternoon party started.
Speeches were accompanied by a large sponge as a prop, but it actually came in useful for the inevitable tears! We were serenaded during a speech interval by the ever wonderful T.IG.Y music. And, after some scrummy street style food, the evening shenanigans continued well into the night… Have to say – probs my fave dancefloor of all time… I had to throw some shapes myself!!
